Josh Newman is a US Army veteran, businessperson, and former State Senator for the 29th Senate District of California. Following a successful post-service professional career in the internet and mobile technology sectors, Newman founded ArmedForce2Workforce in 2012, an initiative to assist young veterans in the Orange County/Greater Los Angeles area in pursuit of rewarding, career-oriented post-service employment.

Throughout his tenure in the State Senate, Newman focused on finding common sense, pragmatic solutions that help improve the quality of life for California families. Among his legislative achievements was securing funding for the creation of the North Orange County Public Safety Task Force, a multi-city, multi-disciplinary collaboration geared toward finding more effective local approaches to homelessness, youth violence, and post-incarceration re-entry, and which includes Pathways of Hope as a participating agency.

He and his wife, Darcy Lewis, reside in Fullerton with their daughter and four weird but lovable rescue Chihuahuas.
